'LOVE 2 LOVE' is an analysis of the importance of aesthetic in fashion and the traditional ways of looking. I had always been interested in an outrageous sense of style, theatrical and the expression of pushing the boundaries of fashion. I began investigating the people around me, social groups and adversities of fashion styles and genres in and around Manchester. I think for me it was important to explore the theme of individuality through the way in which people dress and how young people are constantly manipulating their appearance, through changing their hair colour, experimenting with makeup and their clothes. For me, this was an interesting concept, how you could change one miniscule detail about the way you look, and you can be perceived as a whole new/ different person. Perception plays a large role in this experiment alongside themes including futurism, focusing on colour, texture and how these miniscule details of a face or body part can be so easily distorted and morphed into something new.
